Privacy Policy

Last updated 11 August 2026. Applies to the Sidewise website, the Sidewise apps for iPhone, iPad and Mac, and the public Sidewise API.

What we collect

Nothing. Sidewise has no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking identifiers. We do not collect, store or transmit personal information, and nothing is shared with or sold to third parties.

What stays on your device

The apps cache the current headline feed and any stories you save so they work offline. Both live only in the app's own storage on your device and are deleted when you delete the app.

Network requests

The apps fetch headlines from sidewise.heyitsmejosh.com/api/stories. That request carries no identifier. Server logs are not retained for analytics. Opening a headline hands the link to your browser, where the publisher's own privacy policy applies.

Children

Sidewise is not directed at children and collects no data from anyone, including children under 13.
